The Jacksonville Giants remain unbeaten, following a 122-90 win over the Nassau Pride. Jacksonville improves to 4-0 on the season.

“We played a great game tonight,” said Giants head coach Jerry Williams. “A lot of players stepped up when we needed them.”

Brandon Davis got things started for Jacksonville. Davis went on a strong scoring surge in the first half. The shooting guard landed three-three pointers in the first quarter, putting the Giants in an early lead. Davis ended the night with 28 points, 18 of those points coming from three pointers.

Brenton Williams and Charles McRoy also electrified the crowd with their high scoring efforts. Both players combined for 45 points and an astounding 11 three pointers. The long range shooting was incredible and kept Nassau from making any comeback attempt. The team combined for 25 converted three pointers on the night.

Three time ABA All Star Bernard Nugent and guard Miguel Paul also got into the mix. Nugent, considered one of the ABAs elite players, led the Giants with 32 points. Paul added 18 points on the night. The multiple combinations used by the Giants offensively was too much for Nassau.

Defensively, Jacksonville committed strong to their multiple defensive style. The Giants continued to switch from a man to man and zone strategy. The continuous pressure applied on Nassau was led by Calvin Warner and Clarence Tillman. Nassau had their chances but had some key turnovers which failed any comeback attempt.
